Mission Statement

We, the Catholic parish of the Infant Jesus, are called to be a vibrant community of God’s people through worship, teaching, service, and evangelization. Just as the Blessed Mother nurtured the Infant Jesus, our parish will nurture all people to answer God’s universal call to holiness. We will strive to foster reverence for the sacraments, prayers for religious vocations, and devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Infant Jesus Parish is part of the Diocese of Camden. Our parish encompasses two churches: St. John Vianney in Deptford, New Jersey, and St. Margaret Church in Woodbury Hts., New Jersey

Position: Maintenance Manager

Hours: Full Time, Monday- Friday

Position Summary: Provide and coordinate maintenance of Parish, Convent and School facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee general needs of parish buildings (St. Margaret Church, St. John Vianney Church, Church Rectories, St. Margaret Regional School, and Convent), systems and grounds
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as, changing lightbulbs/fixtures, painting, equipment repairs, plumbing repairs, carpentry, gutter cleaning, light landscaping and basic electrical knowledge
Work with local officials (i.e. Fire Marshall) to maintain safety systems including, but not limited to fire extinguisher inspections, emergency lighting and security system
Work with local vendors regarding equipment upkeep, repairs
Work with Building & Grounds Committee to inspect interior and exterior of Parish Building. Should a deficiency be found, work with committee to rectify same.
Perform light custodial duties at school when necessary
Maintain inventory of tools and supplies
Provide assistance during Parish and School events such as Carnival, Holy days, funerals
Oversee weekend sets ups for events held at Parish building or school

Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent
3+ years of hands on facilities’ maintenance experience

Working conditions and Physical Requirements

Majority of time spent walking and standing
Physically able to climb ladders, inspect roofs, clean gutters
Physically able to lift at least forty (40) lbs
Must hold valid driver’s license
